YOU ARE INVITED!

For a decade, the Movement for Black Lives (M4BL) has stood as a political home, a vital resource, and a thriving ecosystem for Black organizers and formations committed to Black power and self-determination.

Over these transformative years, we’ve drawn deeply from the wisdom of our ancestors, built enduring Black and multiracial organizing infrastructure, and sowed the seeds of revolution and liberation. We have faced challenges, learned from our missteps, and embraced transformation, all in unwavering service to this movement.

We invite you to join us in commemorating M4BL’s remarkable achievements, expansive influence, and vibrant network of members, staff, partners, and allies.

We will gather in style at a 21st-century Black liberation gala—a moment to reflect on a decade of organizing, service, and collective struggle. This is our time to honor the legacy we’ve built, celebrate the growth we’ve achieved, and boldly envision the future we are shaping together.

Story Collection

Stories are the heart of movements—they inspire action, sustain hope, and carry our legacies forward. As part of the 10-year commemoration of the Movement for Black Lives (M4BL), the Storytelling Project celebrates the voices, experiences, and strategies that have shaped a decade of Black liberation organizing.

Partnering with Murmur Collaborative, M4BL has embarked on a mission to document powerful stories through interviews, story circles, and written reflections. These narratives serve dual purposes: for internal audiences, they foster belonging, morale, and critical learning from the movement’s wins and challenges. For external audiences, they amplify the role of movement builders, counter disinformation, and inspire action for justice.

This project reflects M4BL’s commitment to memory-keeping as an act of resistance. By documenting these histories, M4BL strengthens the foundation for future organizing and holds space for the lessons and legacies of today’s liberation work.

Join us in celebrating the transformative power of storytelling—because every story is a thread in the fabric of collective liberation. Together, they remind us of where we’ve been and illuminate the path to where we’re going.
